I always wanted to see if I could paint a pop art type painting from a photo. With all these snow days I finally had time to try it. This is a photo of my daughter, Laura and her boyfriend Zack that I used to look at. It was kind of fun.
Maybe it could have used a little more black shadowed areas, I don't know. What do you think? A new business maybe? ha ha
The next painting is titled, "Sisters". I used lots of vintage sheet music on this one, and brighter colors than I usually do. I hope to list it on Ebay tonight. I think it would make a nice gift for a beloved sister. I am lucky enough to have three of them!

Hi Cris...I like the subject matter and bright colors of your Pop Art painting. It's excellent just the way it is! The sisters with sheet music is MUSICAL...and would indeed be a good choice for a special sister gift!
I think the pop art painting is really cool and it looks just like them!
Looks just like Zack and Laura.
I am sure we can work something out for super bowl. I KNOW I can get the hats and wine.
It is funny, but I think I just gave a light like that to goodwill that Joan gave me.
Hi Cris~ I think you did a really great job on your pop art painting. I love all your artwork ... and, your daughter is gorgeous! Have a fun, creative weekend! xo Paulette
Awesome experiment, it is so good to step out from your usual style now and then.
I still have hankerings after abstract art, I made 2 paintings about 6 months ago and they both sold, maybe it's time to try again?

Wow...I don't know how you did that first painting but it looks just like them! That looks like it would be so difficult....And, of course, I love your sisters painting as well. :) xx
