New Art!

I finished a couple more paintings before my vacation. They will be listed on ebay some time next week.

The first one, "Midnight Rendezvous" reminds me of my sister, Kerry. She was a terrible insomniac and when she couldn't sleep she would lift one of her babies from the crib and hold them in the middle of the night. We used to tease her that her children would never learn to sleep on their own, but they did. This one has mellow colors and makes me think of those cherished moments of bonding with a baby in the middle of the night, even if you are extremely exhausted like this young mother eying the clock as she cuddles her wide awake tyke~

The second one is very whimsical! It is called "My Blue Friends". This kitty is trying to make friends with the blue birds (maybe)--but they are NOT buying it!!

If you haven't been here in a while scroll down to see a sneak peek at the other paintings being list on ebay throughout the coming week! The link is at the top of my page~

Sneak Preview!

I will be taking some time off for a family vacation, so I wanted to give you a sneak preview of some of the paintings that Ebay will be listing for me while I am gone. They will be listed over the next several days, so watch for them!

The first one is called "Unlikely Friends". The parrot is not sure if kitty cat is a friend, or "something more"!

The second one is called, "Put Me Down!" Poor Tiger does not appreciate being dragged around by this enthusiastic little girl!

The third one is called "Fatso". And if you have an old, fat cat...you know this look well!

The fourth one is called "Mermaid Tow". The sun was setting and this little girl is very lucky that a friendly mermaid is towing her back to shore!

The last one here is called, "Napping Under the Stars"....and I mean starfish! I love the serene look on the little mermaid's face as she dozes and glides through the starfish with her Momma. Click on it to enlarge and see the detail! I hope to have a few more up throughout the week.

NEW PAINTINGS!

Ok, so here is another cat on the head painting. It is called "Golden Hat" and I will be listing it on Ebay tonight. Do you think these girls are getting annoyed at their cats wanting to climb on their heads?

My other painting is called, "Vino Queen" and well...you know who you's are...ha ha This one will also be listed tonight on Ebay. Actually I painted some similar ones to give to a couple of very dear aunts who are turning 60 this summer. I personalized them with the right hairdos and put "1950" on the wine bottles. If you know a Vino Queen you would like me to personalize one for, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

It is terribly hot here in the midwest! I am having all my sisters and kids over to swim tomorrow. I think the only way we can stand to be outside is if we are up to our necks in the water!

I wanted to ask my blogger friends if any of you have been near Destin, Florida lately. We have a trip planned there soon and I am a little worried about the tar balls coming ashore. I am hoping for the best!

New Paintings~

I finally got to finish a couple of paintings today. The first one is another kitty with baby clothes. I didn't like dolls very much as a child but that didn't keep me from putting doll clothes on my kitty cats! The little kitty is not sure how she feels about wearing a bonnet!

The next painting features a girl running in the moonlight. She seems a bit frightened and so does her little owl. Maybe it's the ominous face on that moon! Both of these paintings will be on Ebay tonight. The links are at the top of this page. Have a wonderful weekend~

Summer Nap!

I have two more paintings to show you before the holiday weekend. The first one is called Summer Nap. This tuxedo cat hopes that his girl doesn't have anywhere to go for a long time! The swinging bench is my favorite place to sit in the garden. It is right near a goldfish pond with a little fountain. It is so relaxing there, that if I try to read--I fall asleep!

The second painting is called The Robin. I wrote a meaningful quote on this one. The Robin is already on Ebay and Summer Nap will be up
shortly. Have a glorious, safe 4th of July everyone!!
