The nights have been just a tad cooler this week, a few leaves have begun to scatter on the ground, the garden mums are bursting into buds, a barred owl laughed outside my bedroom window in the wee hours of the morning...could it be...maybe...there are signs of autumn among us? This little kitty seems to think so. This painting is available on Ebay tonight.
I have two new paintings to show you! The first one is called Heavenly Hand and features a guardian angel gently protecting a little girl. The colors are very rich!
The second one is called Goldfinches and Coneflowers. This is a scene I witness every day right now. The seed heads have formed on my many coneflowers and the goldfinches are eagerly pigging out on them! Perhaps they are storing some of the seeds for winter, but it doesn't appear that way. Both of these paintings will be up for grabs tonight on Ebay. The link is at the top of this page.
If you haven't checked it out yet, I still have several items with a bid of only 99 cents from my "wake up" sale. Those auctions end soon. Have a great weekend everyone~

It is the last couple of weeks of summer and I am so tired of the heat! Is anyone feeling as "hum drum" as I am? We are all reluctantly moving toward getting our kids back to school and our families back in the swing of things.
I thought I would try to liven things up with a 99 cent auction sale. I am listing several things for a starting price of only 99 cents! There are two cute little plaques with ribbon hangers and several resin topped pendents using mini prints of my artwork. I have ONE of them pictured here! I will be listing things throughout this evening (Friday) so keep checking! Maybe some paintings on canvas too!! As always my shipping is FREE! Good Luck!!
A week at the beach inspired this painting. I'm pretty sure I saw a pair of mermaid twins frolicking in the distance as I sat on the sand! Here are some close ups of their sweet expressions. Listing on Ebay tonight!
I have been getting back in the swing of things since my vacation. I go back to school (my job) in 2 weeks and I am kind of panicking about making the most of my free time!
I have three new paintings to show you. The first one is a girl on a Painted Horse--you can just see how much she loves her gentle pet. She always treats him to carrots.
The second one is a little boy picking blueberries. He thinks he hears some noises in the next rows of blueberry bushes. Kind of loud breathing and chomping. Hmmm... The other one is another bear giving a Cub Scout a big hug, whether he wants it or not!
All of these will be listed on Ebay tonight. Check out how I painted the sides on the first two paintings. Links to Ebay are on the top of this page.
We just returned from a much needed family vacation in Destin, Florida. Despite what you may be seeing on the news about tar balls and such---it was beautiful! The sand and water were perfectly clean and gorgeous! Unfortunately for the folks in the gulf area, tourism is way down. We practically had our section of the beach to ourselves! The sun was shining every day, the water was a clear, emerald green and just the right temperature~The condo we stayed in was on a protected cove and we had our choice of hanging out on either side of the jetty for either calm water for floating or big waves for "boogie boarding". I can never get my fill of those "royal red" shrimp they sell in the seafood shops there. If you like lobster, I think they have more of a lobster taste than a shrimp taste--with butter and lemon--oh my!!!!
I am a self taught artist who has always enjoyed creating anything from a flower garden to the perfect meal. Now that my children, (ages 23, 26, and 27) are all grown up, I have more time to create! I also work 4 days a week during the school year with special needs preschoolers--which I dearly love! The children in my life inspire many of my paintings.
