I'm so Thankful!

I have so many blessings to count this Thanksgiving season. Three of them are pictured here (Tara 22, Jordan 18, Laura 21)! My family is happy and healthy, we have a roof over our heads and food to eat. That is all that really matters, isn't it?

I hope you all have many blessings to count right now. Remember, with the holiday season upon us--Don't sweat the small stuff! It's all about enjoying your families and traditions, they don't have to be perfect! The traditions OR the families!!

Here is a picture of my silly sister Jennifer (hot tamale art studio) on Thanksgiving. She was trying to demonstrate Santa Lucia for us and hot wax was dripping in her hair! I have three sisters and we all have so many laughs together~

Large Snow Painting

This magical snow family became very lifelike at night. The little fox is a bit curious! A mitten left behind is a reminder of the child who created them.

I recently listed this painting on Ebay. It is a very large one for me--16"X20". I used quality acrylics so there is lots of great texture! There are many photos on the Ebay listing to show this.

This would make a great gift to be enjoyed all winter long! Remember to also check out my Etsy shop where I have lots of inexpensive goodies for the holidays!

Christmas Paintings!

"Spoiled Rotten" is a very spoiled kitty all snug and cozy by a warm fire.

"The Little Match Girl" was one of my favorite Christmas stories as a child. I always felt so bad for her and appreciated my nice warm bed afterward. Gosh, I didn't realize the contrast in the two paintings I did this week!

Both of these will be listed on Ebay sometime this week.

First Winter Painting

I finally got around to painting a new canvas. It is a little larger than I usually do--11"x14"x.75" stretched, but I needed the size to do a snowy landscape! I used some quality, heavy bodied acrylics for this one and I love the results.

You can just feel the bite in the wind as these kids bring home the Christmas tree. The shadows are getting long as they journey toward the warmth of home! It doesn't show up on the photograph, but I added some subtle sparkling in the highlighted snowy areas for extra "frostiness". I think I may list this one tonight, since I haven't had any paintings up in a couple of days.

Please check out my Etsy shop, I have lots of inexpensive treasures there for holiday shopping!

Have a great week!

LOTS OF NEW GOODIES!

I have been busy listing many new pendants in my Etsy shop. I am really happy with how they turned out! The domed glass is crystal clear and magnifies the mini print underneath. I added little beads to match each pendant. They are nicely priced for your holiday gifting! You may even want to keep one for yourself! Only $8.50 or 2 for $15! Come check them out~~I just finished listing them all!!

Sparkly New Gifts!

I have been hard at work getting lots of "pretties" together to have in my Etsy shop for your holiday shopping! I have several little glass dome pendants made. The dome shaped glass kind of magnifies the artwork! I hope to get these put on cords along with some dangly charms this weekend. Then I plan to get back to some paintings--I miss painting!

I completed all of my soldered glass ornaments. They turned out really cute and they even have tiny little charms on them that say "Made with Love". They are pretty labor intense, so I guess you could say they are a labor of love! I am starting to list them in my shop tonight. I will have 12 of these, so get them while you can. I doubt I will have time to make any more this year--they are pretty time consuming. Have a great weekend!

More New Ornaments!

This is an example of my latest ornaments. I used mini prints of my original work along with authentic vintage Christmas sheet music (and other snippets) sandwiched between two pieces of glass and soldered together. These ornies have two sides and are embellished with glass beads and ribbon for a "one of a kind" treasure give as a gift or keep for yourself! I just listed the first one on Etsy and will be listing more as I finish them and have time to photograph and list them. I think I will have 12 in all--and when they're gone--they're gone! Have a great week, everyone!
