Merkitties!

I finally have some new art to show you! A dear client suggested more Merkitties--so here they are! It has been a while since I painted something new. I was painting alright, but it was my bedroom walls. I am finally redoing my bedroom and I have been caught up with that for the past couple of weekends. It was long overdue~

Rosie and the Pit Bull

This painting was inspired by a photo I took of my niece Rosalie sitting with my other niece's sweet pit bull. It is too bad that pit bulls are often thought of as vicious. It is so untrue! Not all pit bulls are trained to fight! This painting is available on Ebay now~ The link is at the top of this page.

The first one, Earring Lover, well...if you have a parakeet, you probably know about this.

Perseverance was inspired by my own tiger kitty who actually spent the afternoon sleeping on top of a clutch of decorative eggs. I found them on a shelf and set them in the corner until I could figure out what to do with them. I think kitty thought if he persevered, he would have some fine feathered "friends".
The kids in the wagon and tricycle was inspired by my own childhood memories. I was always tying things together or improvising to make new and different toys. I thought it was the greatest invention to tie my sisters wagon to the back of my trike. ha ha

I finally painted something just for me! This is a painting I did of my son, Jordan, when he played the piano in his 4th grade play. I found the frame on clearance for $6 and finally put something in it. It looks nice near the piano in my home. Can you tell I am missing my son who moved 4 1/2 hours away to go to college? I miss hearing him play the piano too.
