This painting is on pressed fiber board. I used a doily painted gold for the halo, so it's kind of a mixed media. It has accents of metallic gold. I just listed it on Ebay with a starting bid of 1 PENNY! Check it out!

This painting reminds me of an old icon painting- it's wonderful.
WOW...I missed your beautiful painting by $1.00, the bidding got hot and heavy...I figured out what the other person was doing and when it got down to 4 hours till the auction was over I knew if they figured out the top amount I had bid it would be all over for me. Then I had to baby sit while kids went Christmas shopping for g'kids so I stopped checking the bid amounts and the rest is history! Ebay sends such nice little emails to tell you you've lost. ;-) I enjoyed the thrill of the competition but I'm sad too!
I like the effect of the doily and the serene look on her face.It's a fantastic painting.
