Baby Birds Galore!

Our yard is teaming with new bird families! There are so many leaving the nest this week that you can barely go outside without one practically falling into your lap! The baby Robin was just sitting in the middle of the road and we were afraid a car was going to hit it so we moved it to the garden. The baby Wren was just lying on its back on our front porch. It seemed a little stunned but soon flew to a tree. A family of Chickadees left the birdhouse on my porch today--boy are they noisy! They still hang around the porch and chatter at me.

I hope everyone out there has a wonderful Mother's Day. I have been so busy the past few weeks--every time I pass by my canvases and paints I yearn to get at them~ Wednesday is the last day of school for me and then I will have the whole summer to do as I please! Yippeee!

Oh it's a white-throated sparrow.

Ooops my mistake. I thought it looked a little plump for a wren, that's what Steve said it was when he was holding it.

oh so sweet, I can imagine the paintings you will make from those as inspiration, how lucky you are being so surrounded by nature like that.
