I have been doing a lot of experimenting with my painting. I like trying out impressionistic styles of folk art and dabbling with landscapes. I still enjoy painting my folksy people with cats. Several of my clients collect these. I will continue with these along with new styles.

The painting below is not for sale. It is an impression of my dear niece's wedding reception. It was a beautiful snowy night and there was a veranda overlooking St. Louis. The wedding party was warming their selves near a fire pit. I like how the subjects look like they could be from another era.

I had the day off and I experimented with some new techniques in acrylics. I like using lots of layers of washes and paints. It is hard for me to stray away from darker colors, I guess reds, greens, and golds are my "comfort zone", but I am working on it! ha ha The top painting depicts what some of us think about when we are at work all day--hee hee. The bottom painting is loosely based on an old photo of my mom and her twin. The photo was from about 1940.
