I took a couple of pictures outside to show you what inspired me to paint my latest garden themed paintings. My flowers seem to be in full bloom and I have baby tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash. I have been picking loads of fresh cilantro for guacamole and basil for pesto. Yummy!!
The first photo is the path leading to the main patio. The Tiki Bar overlooks another deck around the pool. The teens love to gather around the fireplace and make s'mores. The other photo is of my favorite spot on the swinging bench under a shady pergola. It overlooks a gold fish pond and has a view of the next "mountain" over. My paintings are displayed with these wonderful chunky frames I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $6.15 each! The paintings look so neat with their crackle and antique finish in them. I will be listing the paintings on eBay soon, sorry but the frames are not included.
I am a self taught artist who has always enjoyed creating anything from a flower garden to the perfect meal. Now that my children, (ages 23, 26, and 27) are all grown up, I have more time to create! I also work 4 days a week during the school year with special needs preschoolers--which I dearly love! The children in my life inspire many of my paintings.
