We are still experiencing winter here in the Midwest! More snow is expected this week. The only thing I dislike about the extreme weather is when it is too cold to take our pre-schoolers outside to play. They REALLY need to get out and run--and we REALLY need for them to! But it is January, after all.
Here are a few winter themed paintings I finished this week. They are all 8"X10"'s with lots of crackle for a very primitive look. I am still loving to paint owls! They are so magical to me. I never get over seeing or hearing one in my yard. All these paintings are available on Ebay now. The link is at the top of this page.

i hope the weather gives you a bit of a break so you can get those little ones outside. i know all too well about that brutal cold winter weather having spent my first 24 years of life in illinois!!

So cute and I got a glimpse of you putting them on line. Ha.
Hi Cris!
I work with preschoolers too, and I know exactly what you mean about preschoolers having the need to run! We dont get snow here in Gibraltar but we've had plenty of heavy rain so we've had lots of unhappy preschoolers staying indoors!
Your winter paintings are so pretty. love the one of the girl peeping at the owl, so cute! :-)
I love them all! Your girls are so expressive...I just love their faces! xxx
