Vintage Music Inspired

I am having fun with this vintage song book called Musical Gems for Rural and Village Schools. I hope it wasn't worth much money because I have been cutting it up like crazy for my art work. I don't even remember where I got it, I have had it a long time, but it was published in 1897. This painting, Garden of the Heart, is up on Ebay right now. The other little painting of a fairy holding a bee had a starting bid of only 99 cents! Both of them have FREE SHIPPING in the U.S. as usual!

A beautiful day today in the St. Louis area--high in the 60's, but they are saying snow flurries this weekend! That's St. Louis for you--if you don't like the weather, stick around, it'll change!

We're supposed to get snow here this weekend, too. Bah! I hope it falls only over the houses of the weathermen and weatherwomen who forecast it!!! :)

Whenever he sees me cutting up an old book for art, my hubby always sais "Hope that wasn't worth much." Inspiration is priceless right? lol.
Love these two spring-ey paintings...
We're in the middle of a nice warm spell here in the Hudson Valley area...beautiful days. It'll probably be cold and snow-showery in a week though.

Love your paintings, and the piece painted on the musical sheet is wonderful! I've been dying to cut up one of my old copies of Pride and Prejudice; I think I need to become a bit more brave, though, to finally take scissors to it!
