NEW PAINTINGS - AND A DAY AT THE ART MUSEUM

My daughter, Laura and I spent a rainy, gloomy day at the St. Louis Art Museum. Wow--my art seems so silly and senseless after spending time there! I sneaked a photo of Laura doing a class assignment. She is sketching a charcoal drawing of the bronze sculpture of Degas' Little Dancer. In that one room there were Reniors, Van Goghs, Monets, and Cezannes! It is amazing to see them all in one place!

My paintings this week were inspired by last weekend when I spent a day with Tara on her college campus for the annual Earth Day Celebration. It was a bunch of fun and brought me back to my "teen of the 70's" roots! I hardly feel like calling these pieces "art" after my visit to the museum today, but if my paintings make you smile, well...then it is all worthwhile...I will be posting them on ebay tonight. The link is at the top of the page.

I think your paintings are beautiful and always bring a smile to my face!
As far as i'm concerened that is what 'REAL' art is about, if it provokes a reaction from someone then it is all worthwhile ;)

I agree with Micki. I enjoy looking at your paintings and that's what I believe Art is about. :-)

I like that picture of Laura sketching. She looks so studious. I bet she couldn't help from smiling when you took her picture.
